Beechcraft Sierra & Musketeer Tugs

It's amazing that a lightweight (34 lbs.) airplane tug can effortlessly move an aircraft around the hangar, but read the customer reviews in this section and you'll see what happy users say! This Beechcraft aircraft tug is both a Musketeer plane tug and a Beechcraft Sierra tug. Getting power from a DeWalt 20-volt cordless, brushless hand drill, the built-in worm gear transfers power efficiently to propel your plane on the ground at any one of three speeds. This drill-powered Beechcraft Sierra tug is specially designed to move lightweight Sierras and Musketeers but is over-engineered to handle as much as 4000 pounds of airplane.

Having a Beechcraft Musketeer aircraft tug makes dealing with your plane much more hassle-free, and because it’s easily knocked down and transported aboard, you can have it with you anywhere you fly. The design is for trouble-free strength and durability.

4 of 5 Sierra Minimax Tug February 15, 2024
Reviewer: John Griffin from Vancouver,, BC Canada
I found that the Minimax tug was easy to assemble, and attach to the nosegear.
It worked fine towing my plane out of the hangar, but I had a problem pushing the plane back into the hangar, where there was a slight incline part of the way at the door threshold. I did push down on the nose wheel harder, but it did not work. I did not know how hard you can push down harder, and that first time wondered if too great a down force would damage the nose wheel tire. I was doing it solo, so could not get a helping push. I decided to use my old winch to help tow it over the slope for a few feet, then I went back to using the tug the rest of the way.
I thought it worked pretty well, for such a compact tug, and I hope with advice and more experience on my part it will work even better.for me. BTW, my tires were fully inflated.
Any advice on whether to push down harder without damaging the tire would be appreciated .
John

5 of 5 Works very well. Great product Support February 12, 2024
Reviewer: Andy Nureddin from Ontario Canada
Easy to assemble and does the job. Make sure you apply a bit of pressure to ensure traction. My hangar has a slight uphill slope and this tug handles it without any problems, even in winter. A small part was damaged in shipment and they shipped me a replacement in under three days. Highly recommend.

1 of 5 Is barely up to the job September 8, 2020
Reviewer: Pierre Doyon from Woodland Park, CO United States
I can barely move my Sierra with this system.  You have to put almost all your weight on it to make it barley work.
