Excellent purchase - Could not be more pleased December 26, 2024 Reviewer: Bill Brendel from Corpus Christi and Waco, TX United States   Bought the Piper (wheel pants) tug to help with the PA 28-235 as I transition from KCRP to KACT.  Prompt delivery and well packed.  Construction is solid. Parts fit well. It is an attractive unit. Assembly is relatively simple. Read the instructions several times and watch the videos. Brandon is available by email (24/7) to assist.  Proper tire pressures cannot be emphasized enough-both the tug and aircraft. The first time I used the tug-I could barely budge the airplane.  Tire pressures were super low due to temps dropping to the 30s.  Aired-up tires and the tug pushed and pulled with ease. There is a definite learning-curve but with practice you will learn the dance.  One trick-use light 'trigger'' pressure on the drill when starting your push/pull. This virtually eliminates the initial jump and traction issues. This little unit develops a lot of torque so go slowly.  Again thanks Brandon for the help. PA32 Tug August 28, 2024 Reviewer: Joseph Davis from Fulton, MO United States   I saw the Minimax Tug at Oshkosh and as I had just purchased a PA32-300 I was in the market for a good tug.  The Minimax was demonstrated and I liked the design.  The tug was ordered at Oshkosh, delivered within a few days and has performed well!  The packaging was complete, assembly instructions were easy to follow, and assembly was straightforward.  Performance of the Tug is as expected, it's easy to use.  I would purchase again. Tug for piper Cherokee 6 April 23, 2024 Reviewer: BEN BRAMPTON from Everon Hills, Queensland Australia   The product supplied does not have the weight to pull a Cherokee 6. The tug wheels spin. Plenty of torque - no issues there. Tried putting lots of weight on the wheels to force traction , which JUST manages to pull the Cherokee6. If I’d known it was going work so poorly I would not have bought this tug. Sorry - but I really wouldn’t recommend this solution.<br><br> Minimax Team - I wish you wouldve reached out about the issue you are having.  We have sold many of these for the Cherokee Six with great feedback.  The Cherokee Six is a heavy aircraft.  It does require the operator to apply downforce to the handle tube.  The tug is all steel construction and designed for this. MiniMax Tow Piper Archer December 5, 2023 Reviewer: James Quinn from Canton, MA United States   1.  Product arrived sooner than expected. 2.  Online instruction video was helpful, but left a couple of questions.  The use of some close-ups on the video would be helpful. 3.  It was not especially clear whether I needed the Tow Plate. 4.  $200 savings from list price was helpful. 5.  I have only used it once and wheels spun a little while moving the plane over a very small rise going into the hangar.   6.  It can be a little difficult to maneuver the tow up to the airplane.  The optional Speedy Mover would eleviate that issue. Great tug for Archer II with wheel pants April 14, 2023 Reviewer: Niely from SIOUX CITY, IA United States   Have a small lip going into my hangar as well as a 3 degree or so incline of the slab going up to the door, making it a good workout to push the Archer in by hand, especially in the winter when things are cold and stiff.. Purchased the Minimax tug, for Piper with wheel pants, and it works very well. It’s a breeze to pull the plane out and push it back in. Got the 60V Dewalt drill kit. Plenty of power and easy to secure to plane and detach. I am very glad I pulled the trigger and bought this instead of pulling my back! Highly recommend! Was this review helpful to you?
