Tail Dragger Tug

This tug ships with a 20V Dewalt power system. If you want more power, the Dewalt 60V power system must be purchased as an option.

Cessna 170, 180, 185 require the Dewalt 60V cordless power system.
For use on hard surface only.

If you have a smooth concrete or epoxy painted hangar floor, we recommend buying our Traction Tape or Wheel Weight Hubs option to prevent tire slippage.

If you are purchasing Wheel Weight Hubs you must click HERE to purchase 2 - 25 lb. cast iron weights.
The wheel weight hubs are only the hubs and do not come with the weights themselves. The weights ship for free from the vendor in the link.

Over the years my HUSKY taildragger, purchased in 1998, somehow became “heavier”  and the Minimax Boss provided an excellent solution for my hangar/ramp handling needs.  The unit is robust, yet easy to use.  It fits the airplane well and I would recommend this product.

I received this quite quickly.  The assembly video was really well done.  The unit works quite well.  My only issue was getting the thing adjusted for my tailwheel.  Once done, no issues.  The support was outstanding.

Excellent sales support - all questions answered. and good recommendations. Assembly simple enough, was working within an hour. Took a few tries to get the spacing of the tailwheel lift post correct. Moves the 120 very nicely, in and out of my hangar with a slightly sloping door sill. Three speed drill motor makes maneuvering easy. Looks like very good quality construction. Expect many years of good service.

Although the instructions and video did not match, nor did either quite match my tug, they were good enough to enable assembly in a timely manner. The parts and hardware are high quality. The tug performs as your engineer described it when I called before selecting “the boss”. I have 10 other persnickety cats who I herd on two taildraggers (RV8  & CC11). No complaints. One note: if you use the 60V DeWalt motor and select a speed above “1” you better have your track shoes on….after the tires hook up to the floor.

This tug works as advertised. Going up or down small inclines with small bumps are no problem. My airplane has a very low tail and the original tug wouldn't fit under it. The company was very responsive and sent me a new part. It works great now.
