Replacement Parts Tuesday, October 18, 2022 Reviewer: Ken from Caledonia, MI United States   The steel drive shaft failed due to an aggressive step up into the hanger. Drive shaft Friday, October 9, 2020 Reviewer: g from Georgia   Though I tow my SEL airplane on level ground, the shaft "rounded out" in the square socket rendering the Minimax inoperative regardless of the drill chosen for the drive.  This component seems to be made of too soft steel....hardened, or not.  The entire Minimax line seems to be 'under engineered, but over-priced. !/2 round steel stock goes for about $6 at Lowes, it can be hardened very easily.  Minimax' $39 + shipping, replacement is pretty steep considering the short life. I suggest that the entire Minimax be re-designed to incorporate components that will last more than a few months. REPLY FROM MINIMAX - We have a great reputation of superior customer service.  All it would have taken is for you to put a name on this comment, we would have reached out to you and sent you a replacement at no charge.  A phone call would have remedied the problem as well.  We stand behind what we build and are sorry there was a problem.  If you contact us, we will make it right. Shaft slips in the gear box Tuesday, July 2, 2019 Reviewer: Matt Paxton from KETCHUM, ID United States   I’m on my second shaft as it slips and then rounds off in its slot where it goes into the gear box which makes the tug useless. Was this review helpful to you?
